What do you do at NetSource Technologies, and how long have you worked there?

I’m a web programmer.

When did you become interested in creating websites?

I built my first website in 1997. I’ve done a lot with computers since then but I always came back to building websites.

What is your favorite part of creating a new website?

My favorite part of creating a website is seeing an idea forming into a real, usable tool.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The best part of my job is getting to spend time learning about new technology.

What piece of technology could you not live without?

I don’t think I could go more than a few days without a device that could connect me to the internet.

What do you like to do on the weekends?

I like to play video games, go walking in the woods, and spend time with my family.

Do you have any hobbies?

I like playing games of all types. Video games, board games, role playing games, it’s all fun.

What are your top three moments in your life so far?

Getting married and graduating college.

What is your favorite color?

What is your favorite food / drink?

Pizza from a local pizzeria. The chain stores are fine, but nothing beats the hand crafted pizza from a small mom and pop pizza place.

What is your favorite musician or type of music?

I listen to a lot of classic rock.

What are your favorite TV shows?

I’m a fan of Gordan Ramsay shows like Kitchen Nightmares and Master Chef.

If you couldn’t be a programmer anymore, what career would you pursue?

If I couldn’t work with computers anymore I think I might enjoy a career in anthropology.

If you could choose any superpower, what would it be?

I would choose teleportation. Get rid of the morning commute, go to Paris for lunch, and still get home in time for my favorite shows.

How do you think technology and/or web design will change in the next 10-20 years?

I think that we will see big changes in the way we interact with technology. In the next 20 years I think we will see augmented reality devices replace screens, and voice and gesture control replace the keyboard and mouse.

What tips would you give to a business that is just starting out with their first website?

Before you build your website think about all the things you like to do on business websites. Information about products and services is great but don’t leave out an online store, a place for clients to see their balance and pay their bill, a way to see past purchases or make reorders. If your website makes the users life easier they are more likely to develop a relationship with your company.
