When did you become interested in creating websites?
A few years ago, when I was interning at I-TEC, a non-profit organization, I had to create their website. Since then I have always liked creating websites.

What is your favorite part of creating a new website?
Writing really clean and shiny new code to make it work…the fact that it’s brand new, with no junk in it, giving you an opportunity to start fresh.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Hmm don’t know yet…I’ll have to take a rain check on this one!!

When did you become interested in computers and technology?
Oh, ever since I was 10 or 11, I’ve been on computers…at 13 I started programming with Visual Studio (Express Editions) and started doing embedded devices programming Before that I would design little homes in a program called Punch Home Design on Windows XP. So, pretty much my whole life!!!

What piece of technology could you not live without?
Well if it’s in today’s world, probably the computer, because I don’t do anything else other than computer-related stuff.

Tell us about your family!
Well I have 1 brother and 3 sisters. With my parents we are a total of 7 people. My dad is an electrical engineer; I’ve worked with him for years, him doing the hardware, and me the software. My mom homeschooled us kids from the moment we were old enough to disobey and be little brats, and I owe many of my accomplishments to her training. Apart from that, my 2 older sisters are happily married, the other is attending college along we me, and my brother, who happens to be about my size (he’s 13!!) still slightly annoys everyone, but he will learn. So yeah!! That’s my family…if you want to know more, just ask, there’s a lot of history there LOL

Do you have any pets?
Yes, we have 1 dog named Sir, he’s a collie, and 2 cats, one is called Dodger and the other is called Sleepy. Cute little kitties

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The Grand Canyon, Japan, and the Pyramids of Egypt. And everywhere else..

If you couldn’t be a web developer anymore, what career would you pursue?
I might consider becoming a cashier or waiter/host at a restaurant. Other than that I would choose to join the Air Force.

If you could choose to have any superpower, what would it be?
Probably the ability to morph into anything…not that I don’t like my appearance; I just think it would be cool to be able to make yourself look different just for kicks. Or it could be useful too…

How do you think technology will change in the next 10-20 years?
I’m pretty sure that even though ASP.NET is used for most web development, I think that Ruby on Rails will begin to become more prevalent for web development, because (1) the cost is much lower, and (2) it’s generally more compatible with Linux and Mac, making it easier to run a customized server without depending on Microsoft and Windows.

What tips would you give to a business that is just starting out with their first website?
I would say, “Contact NetSource! They make totally awesome websites for people, and they make your life easier”. Unless they don’t have any money, in which case I would tell them to hire a private developer to do it for them…not as good, but usable.
